Elisha Machado is a journalist with a passion for telling stories that make a difference in the community. Elisha’s news journey has taken her from coast to coast, captivating viewers with her positive spirit and presence at the anchor desk. Her latest role marked a homecoming for Elisha, serving as an Anchor/Reporter in Sacramento for ABC10, which is the station she grew up watching. At ABC10, she was also the Host of “Savoring Sacramento,” a show highlighting innovative chefs and restaurants making their mark on Northern California’s food scene. Prior to her recent work in the Golden State, she was a Reporter/Fill-in Anchor in Hartford, Connecticut, an Anchor/MMJ on California’s Central Coast, and a Political Correspondent in Boston. In Boston, she covered both state and national politics with reports on major topics, including gun control, recreational marijuana legalization, and criminal justice reform. With an office inside the state capitol, she gave viewers an inside look at the inner workings of the legislative process, held lawmakers accountable, and spoke with the governor on key topics of importance.

She is a graduate of Boston University where she studied broadcast journalism and political science. Elisha is very active in her community and enjoys giving back by volunteering. She is a recipient of the President’s Gold Volunteer Service Award.

When she’s not in front of the camera, she enjoys dancing, trying new restaurants, and exploring the region.
